Private flu vaccination in Kinmylies, Inverness
Not eligible for the free NHS Scotland flu vaccine? You can book a private flu vaccination with our pharmacy team at Livingstone Pharmacy in Kinmylies — a short appointment in our private consultation room, close to home.
Why have a flu vaccine?
Flu is a common winter illness that can leave you feeling very unwell for several days, and it can be more serious for some people. The flu vaccine is the best way to help protect yourself each winter.
Flu viruses change from year to year, so a new vaccine is made for each flu season. That means you need a flu vaccination every autumn or winter to stay protected.
Who is the private service for?
Our private flu vaccination service is for people who are not eligible for the free NHS Scotland flu vaccine but would like to be protected — for example, to avoid time off work or to help protect the people around you this winter.
How to book
- Call us on 01463 221 094 or ask at the counter to book an appointment.
- At your appointment, our pharmacist will ask some questions about your health and any medicines you take, to check the vaccine is suitable for you.
- The vaccine is given as an injection into your upper arm in our private consultation room. Wearing a short-sleeved or loose top makes this easier.
It takes around two weeks for your protection to build up after the vaccine, so it is best to book before flu starts spreading widely.
